Nokia-Lumia-1520 (2)The Nokia Lumia 1520 is Nokia’s first Windows Phone/phablet. Competition for the Galaxy Note 3 and HTC One Max, the Lumia 1520 features a 6-inch 1080p Full HD display and a very powerful and fast quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor. It also has a decent amount of built-in memory with 32GB of internal storage which can be increased to 64GB using a microSD card. The Lumia 1520 boasts a 20-megapixel PureView camera and two new apps designed to get the most from your photos called Nokia Camera and Nokia Storyteller. As well as 1080p Full HD video recording, the Lumia 1520 has 4 built-in microphones for enhanced sound. Similar to the rest of the Nokia range, the Lumia 1520 comes in a choice of 4 bright colours with a glossy polycarbonate cover and is expected to be available later this year.

Nokia_Lumia_1320_review (8)-580-90The Nokia Lumia 1320 is essentially a pared-down and budget Windows handset all packaged up in the same size 6-inch phablet as the Lumia 1520. Its specifications are still pretty decent with a 720p Full HD Gorilla Glass 3 screen, 8GB of onboard memory (with MicroSD slot to expand up to 64GB) and a dual-core Snapdragon 400 1.7GHz processor. It does however have the same 3,400mAh battery as the Lumia 1520. The Nokia Lumia 1320 comes with a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera which has autofocus and a LED flash and full HD video recording. It will run on the latest Windows 8 operating system and there’s a choice of four colours which include Orange, Yellow, Black and White. It’s likely to be available in the UK during the Spring/Summer of next year.

Nokia-Lumia-2520-TabletAs well as launching 2 phablets, Nokia also unveiled the first Nokia Windows full-sized tablet, the Nokia Lumia 2520. The Nokia Lumia 2520 Tablet is certainly a beauty, a bit like a supersized Lumia Windows phone with very bright and extremely vivid colours and an impressive 10.1-inch 1920 x 1080 Full HD display. Available in 4 colour choices of Black, Cyan, Red and White, the Nokia 2520 Tablet is powered by a 2.2GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and runs on the latest Windows RT (runtime) 8.1 operating system. The benefit of the Windows operating system is that the Lumia 2520 comes with the desktop Office apps such as Word and Excel. To get the most from the Office apps, there is the option to purchase a Power Keyboard which as well as offering a keyboard and track pad, also enhances the battery life which can be boosted by an additional 5 hours on top of the 11 hours usage it provides without the Power Keyboard attached. The Nokia Lumia 2520 has a 6.7-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front camera and it also features the new Nokia Storyteller app. It’s anticipated that the 2520 will cost around £400 and we’ll let you know when it’s likely to be rolled out to the UK.
