It's game time.

Are you looking for a new Android game to play during your lunch break or through the long winter nights?

There are so many to choose from, you might not know which are worth downloading.

Here is a quick pick of some of our favourite Android games currently available.

1. Call of Duty: Mobile

The popular series has come to mobile and it lives up to expectations. The console game has been beautifully adapted for touchscreen firefights. If you’re a fan of the console series, then this is a must-have for your Android phone. The game itself is free but it doesn’t disappoint.

There are numerous multiplayer modes and some very familiar maps and characters from the console series. Loadouts can be customised, you can be ranked in matches, win prizes and lots more. However, to be the best you need to practice, a lot.

2. Stardew Valley

This farming RPG has made its way onto Android and it doesn’t disappoint. In this game, you inherit an overgrown, neglected farm and your task is to carve out a life for yourself here.

There are numerous ways to play and lots of interaction points. You can even marry one of the NPCs and start a family if you wish.

To add adventure to the mix, there are explorable caves with monsters hidden inside, but also loot to claim. There is so much to do in this little village, you will never be short of things to do.

3. Real Racing 3

A great driving title, Real Racing 3 has an impressive collection of real courses from across the world. There are lots of events that you can enter and play in cross-platform multiplayer races.

For your own car, there are lots of customisation options to really stamp your own personality onto the races.

4. Hades’ Star

This is one of the best space mobile games that you can play. The game starts as you colonise a system and then it is your job to explore that system, expand your empire and develop your worlds.

One of the best aspects of this is that no-one can come in and take your lands. Your star system is yours to stay.

That doesn’t mean that you’re not competing with others. Besides the red star missions where you can co-operate to beat AI enemies, there are other missions where you can face off against rival empires.

5. Inbento

Do you like puzzles and games that have minimal graphics that are both charming and spectacular? Then Inbento might be just what you’re looking for.

The game has lots of interesting challenges that can really keep you entertained for hours.

The game has a simple premise. You are a mother cat trying to make a bento box that will feed your kitten. The challenge starts simple but as you progress, so do the challenges. One of the best features of this Android game is that there are no ads to interrupt your gameplay.

Pick one or try them all

The above five games are great for anyone with an Android phone. They’ll have you playing for hours, entertained by their simple premises but challenging gameplay. And all you need for these games is your phone. You'll find them all available for download in the Google Play Store.
