Limbo is a beautifully designed and rather scary game perfect for Halloween. The object of the game is to help a little boy to rescue his sister whilst solving puzzles and keeping one step ahead of those who are determined to stop him. The black and white graphics are very atmospheric and spooky with life-like creepy crawlies, haunting music and fright-inducing sound effects. The perfect game to get in the mood for Halloween.
iPoe (iOS £2.99)
Edgar Allan iPoe was an American author and poet famous for his frightening stories or horror and terror. The iPoe app is an interactive collection of some of his best known and darkest stories which include The Oval Portrait and The Tell-Tale Heart. With some stunning illustrations and a scary sounding soundtrack, enjoy the spine-chilling interactive tales as they come to life. Not for the faint hearted!
Math Vs Zombies 2 (iOS £2.99)
Combining a bit of Halloween horror with some maths practice is not a bad way to pass some time during Half Term. You play the game as one of a team of clever scientists who need to save the world from zombies who are on a rampage and are trying to take over the planet. The only way to stop the zombies is to use your maths knowledge to power some super gadgets. There are 4 games within the app which get your practising addition, multiplication, subtraction and division. A fun and educational game for kids aged 4 plus.
Halloween Heroes (iOS, Android - Free)
A fun Halloween-themed eco and environmentally aware game for younger children which sends you on a mission to clear up and recycle the debris left behind after the Halloween celebrations. As well as sorting out the rubbish into various materials, there are other challenges to complete such as designing your own costume from recycled waste, creating Halloween decorations and exploring creepy haunted houses and spooky pirate ships. Great entertainment and an effective way to help the future generation become more conscious of their environment.
