5 Shopping Apps to Save You Money
The sun's out and the shops are calling to refresh that wardrobe in time for the Summer.
At Chitter Chatter, we’re always on the look-out for top deals for our customers to get you the best value for your money. So here are some of our favourite shopping apps, practically guaranteed to save you some hard-earned pennies.
TopCashback (iOS and Android, Free)
If you haven’t already signed up for one of the cashback sites, we recommend you do it pronto! All you need to do is get yourself registered and continue to visit your usual online retailers via a cashback site and you can earn yourself money in the process. It can be particularly worthwhile if you are changing utility companies or looking at changing your telecoms provider or buying house or car insurance. One of the most popular cashback sites, TopCashback, have launched a free app so you can carry on earning through your mobile as well as keeping you abreast of the best voucher offers and deals in your local area.
ParkMe (iOS, Free)
This is a nifty little app for tracking down the closest and cheapest parking at your destination if you’re off for a bit of retail therapy. With the cost of some car parks being on the extortionate side, it offers ‘real-time’ parking availability as well so you don’t waste your time trawling around several car parks trying to find a space. Even better it covers thousands of cities worldwide so handy if you’re away from home too.
RedLaser (iOS, Android, Windows, Free)
Part of the ebay group, RedLaser enables you to compare prices of products both on and offline by scanning barcodes when you’re in a store. There’s also the added bonus of being able to check out additional information and product reviews of anything that takes your fancy. As well as checking for the cheapest price, you can also use the app to buy the product and arrange to collect it from your local store or get it delivered to your home. As well as comparing prices of goods, RedLaser can scan food labels and will advise you if its ingredients contain anything which you may be allergic too.
Redeemia (iOS, Free)
If you’re a fan of the ‘daily deal’ sites such as Wowcher, Groupon or Living Social, this iPhone app is definitely worth downloading. Basically Redeemia will search the daily deal sites on mass on your behalf and will find you the best deals for the particular goods or services which you’ve been after. Not only does it get you the best value but it also saves you a decent amount of time from searching the various daily deals websites and apps individually.
MyVoucherCodes (iOS, Android, Windows, Blackberry, Free)
This great app from the popular website which shares its name enables you to search for discounts and deals from a whole range of well-known retailers including shops, restaurants, cinemas, travel companies and spas. Using GPS technology, the latest offers and money-off vouchers can be sent to your phone so you know you always have access to the best deals wherever you are.
