Samsung_Galaxy_S6There are ever increasing rumours circulating regarding Samsung's next premium flagship smartphone - the Samsung Galaxy S6. This usually means one thing - the launch of the S6 handset is fairly imminent. In fact, the money is on Samsung unveiling their new high-end smartphone at Mobile World Congress which will take place in Barcelona at the beginning of March. Here's a round-up of all the main gossip to date.

There's a bit of a debate over what size screen we could see on the S6. Indications are that it will be larger than the S5 and could be as big as the iPhone 6 Plus which measures 5.5-inches. With a screen this size then there are two possibilities with either a Quad HD display (1440 x 2560) or even a 4K resolution display (2160 x 3840).

Most of the speculation concerning the design of the Galaxy S6 points to a metal build rather than plastic and the S6 could be water and dust proof too. There's also talk that Samsung could in fact launch two versions of the Galaxy S6 at MWC, one of which will feature a dual-edge screen similar to the one on the Galaxy Note Edge.

Power-wise, the Samsung Galaxy S6 could well boast the new Snapdragon 810 quad-core, 64-bit processor with a respectable 3GB of RAM. There could be a choice of different models offering varying amounts of onboard storage although some reports speculate that the S6 will come with 64GB of non-expandable built-in memory. We could see a battery as big as 4000mAh in the S6 if the speculation is correct and it's expected that it will run on Android Lollipop 5.0 from the off alongside a revamped TouchWiz interface.

In terms of photo snapping it looks like it'll feature a 20-megapixel rear-facing camera and it's likely to come with a 5-megapixel camera on the front which seems to be pretty standard for new smartphones at the moment.

Other features we expect to see include wireless charging, new Theme software so various parts of the S6 such as fonts and sounds can be customised and a pair of good quality earbuds are thought to be included amongst the accessories supplied.

We'll bring you more news on the Samsung Galaxy S6 as we have it so keep an eye on our blog for the very latest.
