The biggest mobile launch of the year sparked off with huge applause from the crowd gathered at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco. Electric anticipation hung in the air throughout the show and social media was abuzz with updates, opinions, photos and lots of Apple Love!

Watching the live stream in our store, we quickly gathered a crowd around the monitor - it was a show nobody could miss. All over the world, we're sure it was the same - whether at home or at their workplaces, at college or while on the Tube - people, young or old, listened intently to every word that was said.

For those of you who missed the live stream, we saved it for you. Watch it below or on our YouTube channel here.

No time to watch the video? Here's a gist of the big announcements made at the show. Do read and share your views on the launch with us - we love hearing from you!

Apple Watch

Apple's CEO Tim Cook made an early appearance, talking about the latest update to the Apple Watch - the fact that there are now over 10,000 apps on it including Facebook Messenger & GoPro, the new colours of straps available including a new stunning Red and the part that got the most applause - the partnership with Hermes, the French maker of those gorgeous handbags! Interestingly, the double strap design (see below) from Hermes has received mixed reactions on social media. What do you think about the straps? Like them? Hate them?

iPad Pro

The iPad just got a whole lot more powerful, refined and rich. We're in love with all the new features that it brings. This is what Apple has to say about it:

“iPad Pro is the most advanced and powerful iPad we have ever made."

Rivalling most PCs, the new iPad Pro runs on a A9x chip and has a stunning 12.9 inch display that makes everything you do more immersive and experiential. Not just watching a video, even multitasking is smoother and it adds an element of creativity with the help of the Apple Pencil - a cool new stylus announced. Watch this video of how beautifully a sketch is made on the iPad Pro with it:

iPhone 6s

“The only thing that has changed with iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus is everything," said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing.

The best smartphone in the world has arrived with a bounty of new features - there's the 3D Touch (what we heard as the ForceTouch) which allows you to PEEK and POP using the display. And then there's Live Photos, where you can capture action in a click - just hit Record and the camera will capture a few seconds of what you're clicking so when you look back at the photo, it's as if you have captured the energy and beauty of the scene, not just a wallpaper.

And did you know you can now take really high definition videos with the iPhone 6s and the 6s Plus? The camera has received a serious upgrade to 12 megapixels and supports a whopping 4K resolution for videos so your home videos and documentaries just became that much more closer to professional standards.

Even the front camera has been upgraded to bring Retina Flash, which makes your selfies three times brighter with True Tone lighting on the 5-megapixel FaceTime HD camera.

The finishing touch? There's a new Rose Gold colour for those who love to get an edge in style. The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will be available in metallic gold, silver, space gray and the new rose gold.
