Xperia-E1-black-front_pr488_1We've got some rather exciting handsets coming soon to Chitter Chatter and one of them is Sony's rather excellent smartphone the Xperia E1.

The Sony Xperia E1 is at the budget end of the range and but despite its low cost, this 4-inch handset provides decent specifications. For starters, it looks great with its premium looking two-tone design with a robust plastic frame.

For music lovers it includes a Walkman button on the top and super loud speakers thanks to Sony's xLOUD sound technology. This is a great feature which takes you to Sony's popular 'Music Unlimited' streaming service.  As well as the music options that the Walkman feature gives, the E1 also has an FM Radio.

The E1's 4-inch display has a resolution of 800 x 480 (233 pixels per inch) - nothing world beating sharpness-wise but not bad - and it's powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Cortex A7 processor and 512MB of RAM. It also has decent onboard storage at 4GB which can be expanded up to 32GB with a microSD card.

The Xperia E1 is an Android handset which runs on the KitKat 4.4.2 operating system and it includes a 1700mAh battery which provides around 9 hours of solid talk time.
Camera-wise, the E1 comes with a serviceable 3-megapixel rear camera which has a 4 x digital zoom, image stabilisation, HDR and a panorama setting. It records video at 30 frames per second.

The Xperia E1 comes in three colours namely white, black and purple and will be available to order from us very soon.
