This Week's Chitter Chatter - iOS8.3, Sony Xperia Z4 and LG G4
Apple fans of emojis are no doubt thrilled that over 300 new emoji's have been added to an upgraded keyboard with the latest iOS 8.3 software update. The emoji's now come with different skin tones which you can select which will enhance their popularity even further. Other new features for iOS 8.3 are additional filter options for Messages where you can divert messages from unknown senders into a separate list, new languages for Siri which include Portuguese, Turkish, Russian, Dutch, Danish, Swedish and Thai, the ability for Siri to make phone calls when you're already on speaker phone. It's also now possible to install free Apps from the Apps Store without being authorised. Get downloading the new iOS 8.3 operating system as soon as you can.
More rumours have reached us over the last week concerning expectations for the eagerly anticipated Sony Xperia Z4. There's conflicting information regarding when exactly it could be released with speculation ranging from next week until sometime in September. It's thought that the Z4 could feature a 2k (2560 x 1440 pixel) screen, a quad-core, 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor and an exciting new IMX30 camera sensor. Alleged images of the Xperia Z4 have appeared online and the look and design of the handset is certainly premium and along the same lines as its older siblings. Watch this space for more on the Z4 over the coming weeks and months.
Talking of soon to be released handsets, the LG G4 has also been in the news this week. The G4 will be launched on the 28th April and is all set to showcase some impressive stats. If the reports are to be believed, the it will feature a 5.5-inch 2560 x 1440 QHD display as well as a much improved 16-megapixel rear camera with a f/1.8 aperture for use in poor lighting. Other stats which have appeared in the news concerning the G4 are that there could be a 8-megapixel front-facing camera and the new octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor with 3GB of RAM. We can't wait to get our hands on it - less than 2 weeks to go until launch!
And finally, there's a new gadget which could be the ultimate smartphone saviour which is currently raising funds on the Indiegogo site called 'On The Go'. Essentially it offers a whole host of great smartphone-enhancing features and is compatible with a great range of handsets. The On The Go gadget is a flash disk which offers an extra 128GB of storage for smartphones and tablets and has multiple ports with a microUSB and USB3.0 connector as well as Lightening connectors which means that it can be used with Android, iOS and Windows devices. As well as providing additional storage for your smartphone or tablet, On The Go comes with a built-in rechargeable 1000mAh battery with Bluetooth locator, can be used to play files and music, acts as a trigger shutter for photos and as a remote control.
