The CES event in Las Vegas has just finished and manufacturers have been competing to show off their latest and greatest products for 2017.

Here are some of the weird and wonderful gadgets that caught our attention this year.

Kuri is a home robot that offers a lot of the features that you might find with Amazon Alexa or Google Home, but in a friendlier and more flexible form.

It has loudspeakers, microphones, cameras and sensors and can perform tasks like reading to your children or monitoring your home remotely.

On the theme of robots, Lego was at the show to demonstrate it's new Lego Boost, which will allow kids to build motors and sensors into their creations, as well as control them via an app.

ForĀ perhaps the less essential side of things, Griffin have put the smart into toasters with this device which you can control via an app and can remember how you like your toast.

All the usual slim TVs, new wearables, laptops were also on show and with the promise of new phones like the LG G6, Samsung S8 and even a new phone from Nokia, there is a lot to look forward to in 2017.
