The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is the first in the next generation of Android handsets. You get an improved camera, faster processor, sleeker design and a bigger 6.4″ screen. You’re getting an OLED display with Quad HD which makes your videos and photos look gorgeous. The fingerprint sensor for unlocking the phone sits inside the screen itself. The triple-lens camera is the standout feature of this phone, packing a 40 megapixel camera alongside an 8MP telephoto lens and a 20 megapixel ultra-wide camera. Great for daytime photography but also one of the best smartphones for night shooting.
The screen reaches nearly all the way to the edge of the phone so you get a really immersive view. There’s a USB-C port at the bottom, but Huawei include an adaptor if you want to use standard 3.5mm headphones.
The Kirin 980 chip powers the Mate 20 Pro which is lightning fast, currently one of the fastest Android smartphones available. You also get a 4200mAh battery, so you’ve got plenty of juice to get you through the day. And if you run out, the super-fast charger sort that out; capable of getting the battery to 70% in around 30 minutes. The fast-charger is included in the box. You get 128GB of storage on this phone which will be plenty for most people, but Huawei have also included the option to use their Nano memory cards if you need to add some more memory.
